Hi I’m Luuk Kessels, a self-taught systems-developer based in the Netherlands. I dive deep into Rust and Computer science, learning from 1st principles.
(In the future I’ll be building secure low-level systems that make the world a better place.)
I use this blog to ship thoughts into the real world and create mental clarity.
My current focus: binarySeries – a GitHub repository where I build 100-line CLI projects with clean notes to sharpen my thinking. These projects train me in ownership, borrowing, mutability, data-allocation, lifetimes, and more.
What you’ll find here:
- My learnings in Rust, logic, systems, math, CS, and philosophy
- A documented journey from HTML/CSS/JS/Python to Rust and Systems programming
- Ideas, experiments, and reflections on what I build, read, and learn (failures included – because as Charlie Munger said: “learning from others’ mistakes is less painful and faster.”)
My long term goal
To master Rust, and key CS topics build strong mental models, and think in systems. After reading the Sovereign individual (I think) clear thinking is one of the core skills for the information age.
Eventually, I aim to build secure low-level systems that give back control to the owner of their keys.
If you’re into the same, or want to connect, you can find me on: LinkedIn or, X/Twitter see you there.
